24th July 1958 - 4th January 2011
It's with profound sadness that we have to inform you that Mick finally lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at 4.30pm today, 4th January 2011 at home in Chelsea, London. He was surrounded by his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.

I was introduced to Mick's amazing basslines by a bassmate here in this blog. Since then, he was always present in my playlists and conversations about bass and music. A very underrated bass wizard, with a unique style. Love that odd basslines and that Wal tone! It's a big loss... a HUGE LOSS... A sad day for all bass enthusiasts. (nukebass)
