Born in Santos, a city from São Paulo State (Brazil) at december 5 1980, IGOR FRANÇA (Eegor Franssa)started his musical history and bass after when his step brother introduces the american band legend KISS, at early 90's. In 1997 at 16 y.o. his father has gifted the very first bass, a 4 string "Jazz Bass".
Known as a "self-learned" bassist, he started to teach bass at 1999, with 18 y.o. With that, a search for a own-playing identity has begin. At the same year, became the "only bassist" who plays "DREAM THEATER" at his city, and in 2001 he started to play in a prog-metal band named "Metal Jam". In 6 years of this "adventure", he play for almost 1 million people at a TV show on "MTV" brazilian channel, doing a kind of "bass duel", winning the show with 3 different types of solo, exploring tapping, slap and "hand effects" as well. This TV show is remembered by fans and was one of the most viewed by MTV's spectators.
Nowdays, he's a solo artist. The main idea around his work (using fretted/fretless basses) is reach the "musical limits" with musicality. As he's kwnon by bass techniques, his compositions explores the musicality, giving more "feeling" on bass playing.
